Families helping shape the future of our kindergarten
Mt Gravatt Community Kindergarten is governed by a volunteer Parent Management Committee, who serve as the Approved Provider of the service.
The Committee provides leadership and oversight across areas including governance, finances, staffing, facilities, maintenance, policies, risk management and the long-term sustainability of the kindergarten.
While the Committee provide governance oversight, the day-to-day running of the kindergarten is managed by staff on behalf of the Committee.
You don't need committee experience.
You don't need previous committee experience or special expertise to become involved.
Community organisations are strengthened by the different skills, perspectives and ideas that families bring.
There are support mechanisms in place for committee members by way of experienced staff, our central governing body Lady Gowrie and established processes and policies.
At Mt Gravatt Community Kindergarten and in this special place called Kaggur Mabul '
Land of the Echidna' we acknowledge the traditional custodians of these lands.
We share and care for this space with past, present and future families who explore, discover,
play, learn, laugh with friends and connect with nature on this special mountain.
