A very special place to grow.
Surrounded by established trees and expansive outdoor spaces, our kindergarten gives children opportunities every day to explore, investigate, take appropriate risks and connect with the natural world.
Nature inspires curiosity, creativity, resilience and a deep appreciation for our environment. As the children spread out around our natural wonderland, a sense of calmness envelopes them. This enhances deep engagement in their play.
Children enjoy opportunities to climb, create, investigate, imagine, problem-solve and connect with the world around them. Our expansive outdoor spaces encourage adventure, resilience and a deep appreciation for nature and respecting country as guided by Indigenous Elders and reflected in our story.
Through nature play, children engage all of their senses to provide environmental information to the brain. This is how they form their understanding of the world, create new possibilities, and expand their cognitive function.
Our experienced teaching team thoughtfully design learning experiences that follow children's interests and support their individual development.
For many children, some of their happiest kindergarten memories are created outdoors.
At Mt Gravatt Community Kindergarten, we believe every family should feel welcomed, respected and included.
We celebrate diversity and value the many cultures, languages, experiences and perspectives that enrich our community.
Whether your family has lived locally for generations or has recently joined our community, we hope you will feel a genuine sense of belonging from your very first day.
At Mt Gravatt Community Kindergarten and in this special place called Kaggur Mabul '
Land of the Echidna' we acknowledge the traditional custodians of these lands.
We share and care for this space with past, present and future families who explore, discover,
play, learn, laugh with friends and connect with nature on this special mountain.
