Our Story

This artwork by Gooreng Gooreng artist Dylan Sarra depicts the ‘mountain kindy’ in the centre with an echidna footprint.

The leaves symbolise the movement of children in their surroundings, while the dot paths around the leaves represent their exploration and learning in nature.

The circles on the left represent the different play areas in the kindergarten.

The pink colour represents all of us, and our relationship with First Nations perspectives is like the seeds on a tree.

As we share our knowledge with the kindergarten community, it becomes like the wind that carries the seeds and plants that knowledge in future generations.

The aqua and blue sections represent this continuous transmission of knowledge.

The circle above the mountain represents an aerial view with pathways leading to the mountain, and the dots represent the people who have embarked on this journey in the past, present, and future.
