We welcome families who are looking for a play-based kindergarten where children can learn, explore and develop strong relationships in a unique natural environment.

Community kindergarten is a little different

When you enrol at Mt Gravatt Community Kindergarten, you're joining a community organisation.

We ask every family to play an active part through volunteering, community events, working bees, sharing skills and supporting the life of the kindergarten.

Could community kindergarten be right for your family?

You may enjoy being part of our kindergarten if you:

✓ value community and connection
✓ want to be involved in your child's kindergarten experience
✓ enjoy meeting other families
✓ are happy to contribute time when you can
✓ value a not-for-profit organisation
✓ enjoy being outdoors and connected with nature
✓ want to help create something for current and future families

To be eligible for enrolment at Mt Gravatt Community Kindergarten your child must be placed on the relevant waiting list. We offer two kindergarten programs each week with a maximum of 22 children attending in each group. Children must turn four before 30 June of the year they will attend. Use the kindy calculator to help determine which year your child can attend.

Enrolment offers are made as per the order of the waiting list, with offers made mid-year, the year prior to attendance, eg: enrolment offers for 2027 will begin end-May/early June 2026 and are made via email. Please make sure your email details are up-to-date and contact us if you would like to check.

The enrolment process can take many months, and you may not hear from us until later in the year. If you do receive an enrolment offer, we appreciate your prompt response, as there are many families eagerly awaiting opportunities to enrol at our kindergarten.

Waiting Lists

Your child's name can be placed on the waiting list by completing the online application form here.

Waiting List Agreement

It is understood that the placing of the child’s name on the waiting list does not automatically guarantee that the child will be ultimately enrolled at the centre.
